Book 6 of the Five Ancestors series features ShaoShu (Little Mouse), a homeless 7-year-old boy whose special talent is contorting his body to squeeze into tight spaces. He sneaks aboard evil General Tonglong's ship as a spy but ends up a prisoner. Kiki Barrera narrates this action-packed story with boyish exuberance. One can actually hear his delight as he recounts the intense fight scenes in which hands are lopped off, people actually get sliced in half, and ShaoShu faces all kinds of danger. This is not a story for the fainthearted, but it will certainly entertain fans of the series, and those who enjoy intense Chinese-style fighting. M.M.G. (c) AudioFile 2011, Portland, Maine
